The Faculty of Social Communication Sciences (FSC) at the Pontifical Salesian University promotes an Advanced Training Course in Non Profit Social Comm - Social communication for non-profits: strategies and tools. This is a one-year first-level University Diploma aimed at enhancing the knowledge and technical skills needed to value and promote the communication of Third Sector Entities and to update those who wish to work or already operate in this field.
With the sponsorship of the National Office for Social Communications of the Italian Episcopal Conference, AOI - International Cooperation and Solidarity, and with the support of Confindustria, Non Profit Social Comm aims to be a reference for specific training in the field of communication in the non-profit world.
The training proposal is born for two reasons: first, the awareness that in this sector it is necessary to invest more in communication in all its possible forms if one wants to be a driver of social development and innovation. Second, the need to train social communication managers, multidisciplinary professionals who can hold top or more operational roles, equipped with the necessary technical skills, without forgetting the knowledge that allows them to work in sensitive contexts and on complex issues.
The course is set to start on February 14, 2025, and conclude in February 2026. It includes 45% of the lessons online (synchronous and asynchronous), and 55% in-person at FSC. The mixed formula aims to meet the needs of those who are already working, allowing them not to give up the possibility of creating a community oriented towards the common good, enriched by moments of lively exchange and sharing of experiences and perspectives.
There will be project work proposed directly by the numerous partners of the initiative, as well as the presence of illustrious names from organizations and communication professionals such as Edoardo Patriarca (former spokesperson of the Forum Nazionale del Terzo Settore), Gregorio Arena (President emeritus of Labsus - Laboratorio per la sussidiarietà), Michelangelo Tagliaferri (President of Accademia di Comunicazione Milano), Marco Carnevale (Creative Director YES I AM), Stefano Maria Palombi (Creative Director stefanopalombi.com), Flavia Trupia (linguist, author, speaker Per La Retorica), Paolo Restuccia (RAI author Il ruggito del coniglio), and Camillo Ripamonti s.j. (director of the Centro Astalli).
The cost of the course is €3,300.00 (VAT included), to be paid as follows: €800.00 at registration and 5 subsequent installments of €500.00. For those who enroll by November 29, 2024, a special discount is offered with a cost of €2,300.00 (VAT included).
